CAPS Activists – A Catholic Voice in the HIV Sector
Abigail & Tyrone represented CAPS at the BHIVA Conference 23-25 April Brighton. Another CAPS member attended the launch of the report ‘HIV Services at the Crossroads: the role of the voluntary sector and needs of communities’ hosted by the All-Party Parliamentary Group on HIV, in May. CAPS is a member of the One Voice Network, an independent collective of Black-led community organisations seeking to improve the health and wellbeing of Black communities in the UK who are affected by HIV. Three CAPS members represented us at the launch of UNHEARD VOICES in central London, in May. The Report highlighted inequalities in Primary Care. Report at onevoicenet.org.
Dr Vincent Manning submitted written and verbal evidence for the Getting to zero by 2030: HIV in London report, published by The London Assembly health committee in April.
CAPS is a member of the Catholic Social Action Network (CSAN). Abigail and Vincent attended the CSAN Parliamentary reception in February.
